Under RF, RevCom has enjoyed a big boost in funding because opposing fascism and disliking Trump are both popular concepts.
They’ve also established ‘students against fascism’ and other similar fronts.

Because RefuseFascism, et al relies on advertising to survive (and is in fact solely centered on advertising), they’re extremely identifiable.

One of their favorite tactics, aside from handing out flyers to people on the street so passersby think a march is RF’s, is holding press conferences. They advertise that children/injured demonstrators/news baity types will speak, then use the presser to proselytize.
I’ve spoken with antifascists in New York, Los Angeles & DC who all hate RefuseFascism for these reasons.

RefuseFascism & RevCom are not activists. They don’t oppose fascism. They exist solely to make money. They’re a pyramid scheme in activist’s clothing.
They will likely swoop into my mentions and try acting very innocent and sweet and calm to show how harmless and well-meaning they are.

They’re hated everywhere because they legitimately suck and they get away with it because organizers are scared of conflict, choosing instead to make spaces unsafe.

I’ve been covering the scene in NYC since the summer. In that time I have never seen RF at jail support. I have never seen them at mutual aid events. I haven’t heard of them donating funds or helping the community. I have only seen them show up to swoop. That’s all they do.
Much of what I’ve found has come from conversations with former members and my own eyeballs seeing their swoops.

- Tell your friends who aren’t super keyed in to avoid the hell out of them
- If at an action, deswoop by surrounding them and making them leave
- Don’t promote or attend their events
- Tell organizers you know they’re not safe
