Ok, like. I am just a simple unfrozen caveman lawyer, but it's my understanding that the Student Loan Forgiveness thing is being proposed as an immediate act because it's one of the few things Biden can do ON HIS OWN, without the Senate, by Executive Order.
So all the better suggestions, like, "why not just give everyone $50k to put against whatever debt they want" are GOOD suggestions, but they're not things Biden can just do by himself, all king-like. We need a Senate for that stuff.
If your husband is like "I'm going to the fridge, can I bring you a soda?" well sure maybe you would PREFER a basket of Red Lobster cheddar rolls, but that involves a car and your car is in Georgia right now.

And, like, accusing the husband of not caring that you want cheddar bay biscuits because he offered you a soda instead, like. The soda is RIGHT THERE in the fridge, but the Red Lobster is on the other side of town and requires a car and the car is IN GEORGIA.
When the car gets back from Georgia, we can make the case for cheddar bay biscuits but until it does, it's Sprite or nothing. Maybe milk if it's not past the expiration date. But that's all.
