So something I've been thinking about. The joy of fandom for me has always been in the transformative and silly nature of it. When your fandom experience becomes "official?" you lose that.
So don't. Don't make it official. Don't @ creators and demand stuff. Just. Don't. Enjoy the content with your friends. Have fun.
Because as soon as you think you have some control over what your creators are doing? It becomes Not Fun. It becomes work. It becomes something you "have to keep track of" rather than something you enjoy. Please. Love yourself.
If they're awful, oh god yeah point it out! I'm not saying don't criticise media. But awful doesn't mean a story direction you don't like. Awful doesn't mean a character you love dying. Learn some critical analysis.
in the end, stuff you enjoy doesn't actually belong to you. Stop acting as though it does.
