I've grown mangoes before in the past with relative success, but now I'd like to document the process of trying to grow one in such a cold month indoors! Let's call him Tulio!
November 18th, 1:00pm
Tulio's seed is removed from his husk and placed into a sealed plastic bag with a damp microfiber. Will check back in on him in 3 days! This process will help him germinate quicker and we'll be able to monitor his growth until he's potted!

Tulio has started to sprout! The surrounding area has also started to turn from white to green! Back in the bag with a little more moisture added to his blanket and we'll check on him again in a few days! :)

Tulio has started to put out his shoot and his main root and started making little root offshoots! It's almost time to pot him up! He's been relaxing on my radiator and his micro fiber has been swapped out due to him trying to grow through the material!

Tulio is now comfy in a well watered pot with some rich, well draining potting soil of my own mixture! When he gets about 12 inches tall we're gonna nip away the new shoot at the top in the middle to encourage branching! So far so good!

Tulio is really starting to look like a little tree now! He's getting light in the windowsill during the day, and more light during the evening with this light here! (He looks yellow in this light because his chlorophyll is still developing!)
