About to start speaking on the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Bill 2020 - time to get stuck into building the renewable energy future, tackle climate change and deliver jobs https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/Pages/lc-webcast-page.aspx
This debate went through last night to midnight and will start again this morning from 10am. I regret to inform you that Mark Latham has decided to filibuster these changes because opposing the renewable energy future is apparently the hill he has chosen to die on.
Here’s what we’ve got so far. 249 amendments most of which are destructive or pointless, create more red tape or new committees. He also wants to remove all mentions of battery storage even though we KNOW this is a key part of future energy security

We're excited to tell you about our 4 proposed amendments as the day progresses - they are sensible, achievable changes that could help NSW be a world leader in the green energy revolution and do right by First Nations communities

The debate is starting now - you can watch live here:

We'll also do our best to live tweet the most interesting bits

First vote for the day is for the bill shows a pattern we'll see for much of the rest of the day - One Nation and the Shooters voting to try block the bill, every other member of the house . We're now moving into considering amendments.
