Zimbabwe's problems can be attributed mostly to the inefficiency, disconnect, lack of care etc in our leaders for the people. In most cases, I have found that solutions do not emanate from the outside but from the inside. I believe that for the country to be transformed it-
-wouldn't even take long. Start off with things like service delivery. I will tell you that living in a good suburb there are some things you just cannot relate to when others complain about. Whilst someone is complaining that they missed work because ZUPCO didn't show up some-
-of us will be complaining that the S500L I had to use for work today only had half tank and I wanted the CLA200 AMG instead. Where am I getting at you may wonder, our representatives (MPs) will come to Mabvuku and we vote them in then they go back to Borrowdale Brooke. Trust-
-me they can't relate with your daily struggles. Their children are at St John's or outside of Zim receiving the best education, their cars are luxurious and air conditioned with fuel they get for free, the roads leading to their houses are always well maintained & the streets-
-well lit, on weekends they are at Garfunkels & Queen of Hearts or going for a weekend getaway to Aberfoyle in the Eastern Highlands. They have borehole water & a full solar system to power up their huge lovely houses. When you complain about spending hours waiting for a bus,-
-not having running water or having dirty water from your tap, having constant power cuts, being broke, eating once or twice a day, your kids not getting proper health care, they won't deal with these with the urgency it deserves because they use private services not public ones-
-Solution? An Act must be promulgated which pushes for all public officials and their families to use public services, once they experience how bad it is, they will work with urgency to have these things fixed. Your MP isn't feeling well? Take them to Parerenyatwa. Their kid has-
-to go to school? Take them to Harare High in Mbare. Someone wants to run for office? They should first have resided in the constituency they are running under for at least 5 years before they announce running for office. Until then, we are in trouble. End of my rant. Be blessed.
