I dunno what "International Men's Day" even is

But today is a good day to remember that men have their own struggles

And that to understand a group of people you don't cherry pick those at the top of the hierarchy & assume they represent the rest
It's also a good moment to remember the 99% of men who are invisible to everyone

Those keeping society functioning

Those who died in wars

Those doing the dirty work nobody will ever even give them a pat on the back
It's also a good day to remember that guys have to become men

And that in this day & age, it is as hostile as ever, in a different way

The enemy is lack of purpose, lack of understanding the world they live in
And who can blame them

Bombarded every day with contradictory messages

"Men should be this"

"Men should be that"

All subject to everyone's personal narrative
Us men are beasts of burden

A life lived in sacrifice for others

Yet most guys who we don't consider men just want an opportunity of sacrifice

An opportunity to prove themselves
I check some hashtags & quote tweets regarding this "Internarional Mens Day" & most are bitter

Why should it be adversarial?

Why should the perceived "privilidge" of the small few at the top of the hierarchy cover the experiences & life of the common man?
It's not easy to talk about men's struggles

But maybe because it's difficult... it's the true "social justice" fight we should have?
These boys, guys & men people are bitter against are your:

- brothers
- friends
- cousins
- uncles
- granfathers
- fathers

You know, 49.9% of the world's population

Why the bitterness? Why the hate? Why the confrontational stances?
