Most of your emotional trouble stems from the issue of projecting a version of reality in your head that differs from what’s actually happening.

When you assume that the events of life ‘SHOULD’ happen a certain way
You experience a dissonance and get upset when they don’t go the way you projected they ‘should’.

This isn’t real.

‘I wish the weather was better’

The weather is what it is.

Can you change it? No. Then enjoy whatever is the weather.
Something doesn’t go your way? You were projecting a possible outcome and assigning emotional states to that outcome.

When it doesn’t happen, we get upset.

By removing our attachment to any fabricated events that haven’t happened,
we can remove the emotional disturbance that we experience arriving at that point.

This applies to ALL things.
Of course we should aim to succeed and do our best to achieve what It is that will progress us in life,

of Course we should analyse our previous actions if we don’t pass a test or achieve a particular task that's important.
BUT there is no use in assigning our happiness to a fake reality that will likely not happen.

And especially not to the day-to-day life.

Understand this and prosper.
