Ohio is not a far right state, but our state legislature runs it like it is.

Why? Because we’ve been gerrymandered.

Our GOP governor is dealing today with a bill that would strip him of his powers to try to keep us safe from COVID.

Gerrymandering is dangerous.
It is harmful not just because it locks one party out of power, but because it can bend the will of the state to an extremist ideology.

Historically, we have been a moderate state.

Statewide, it’s difficult for someone like Jim Jordan to get elected.
We like reasonable people in Ohio, Trump notwithstanding.

But we are trapped right now at the whims of conspiracy fueled ideologues.

Anyone, Democrat or Republican, who is reasonable, should take this as a real warning.

If the maps aren’t fixed in Ohio, we may never recover.
