I did a freezer inventory last night and over the last 6 weeks I’ve amassed FORTY ONE home made ready meals from leftovers from batch cooking with the previous £20 shops, so I’m taking a well earned break from cooking dinners for a week or so while we munch through that lot!!
Highlights include that butter sausage, kale and pea curry! Ribollita! Chickpea butternut daal! Puttanesca soup! Beetroot and kidney bean curry! Chicken minestrone pasta! Turkey and veg curry! Bacon and pea risotto! Cheesy chicken bacon pasta! Pork loin and pearl barley stew! 😁
In order to avoid Freezer Bingo, roll up a big blob of blu-tack and stick it to the front of the freezer. Jam a black Sharpie into it. This has honestly changed my leftovers-labelling life. (Obvs exercise caution if you have young kids unless you want your house Picassoed.)
