"Mentally, physiologically, emotionally, I'm definitely burnt out," he told CBC Toronto...he also realizes he can't stop to rest, not when daily case counts of #COVID19 have spiked to the point that the province has put the city under a lockdown that will last @ least 28 dys."

"I know I also have a duty to respond."

Across the country, this is how all health care workers are feeling...

We have a duty to work, to respond.

If we don’t, things will get worse.

2/
And we are tired.

We leave work with much left to still do, but we also need some time to rest.

The real rest is not easy to come by though...Some of us dream about COVID-19 work at night because we know as we sleep, cases continue to rise.

3/
There is really no end in sight for us, which is why you, as the public, needs to do Your Duty & #StayHome

4/
This is not an airline that allows you to avoid paying for a seat if your kid is under age 2.

The virus does not discriminate by age.

It moves when you do, & it will latch onto every living human that it can, if we allow it.

5/
The max number allowed in a home in Saskatchewan is 5.

If you have more than 5 family members living with you, then that means no visitors.

6/
I see you, having more than 5 people in your homes.

I heard you out there, doing your Black Friday Shopping while ill, when you should be on isolation.

What you are doing is disrespectful, & frankly, breaking #PublicHealthOrders, during a pandemic, is against the law.

7/
I don’t care that the @SKGov says you can have 4 @ a table, in a restaurant.
Do not think that means you & 3 of your buddies/girlfriends should be meeting up right now.
This will not help get our # s down.
The more you do this, the longer we are going to be stuck with this.
8/
If everyone continues to take liberties with the rules, just bit by bit, like many of you have been doing since we opened up, our cases are going to continue to rise.

9/
If everyone continues to think that the rules don't apply to them, more people are going to be exposed, more people are going to get sick, our cases are going to continue to rise, & more people are going to die.

😔

And They Are.

10/
This is about more than you.

We are in the middle of a global pandemic...

The worst we have seen in over 100 years.

11/
This is about people who don’t want to get sick.

This is about people who don’t know if they will be a mild or severe case of #COVID19.

This is about respecting your fellow citizens.

12/
This is about respecting the HCWs in this province who have put our lives on hold since March of 2020, to fight this pandemic.

There is really no end in sight for us, which is why @SKGov must step up with decisions on further restrictions, to ease the strain on health care
13/
We’ve had to make tough decisions in health care, because you are not.

Yes, all these decisions have had consequences.

14/
To our provincial government, @SKGov, Making Good Decisions and Leading, that it is what you were elected to do.

You need to lead now.

You know what has to be done, so just do it.

15/
We need people to stay home, except for the essentials right now.

The longer you wait, the worse it is getting.

The longer you wait, the longer it will be for us to be able to be out and about, & the longer it will be until we can see our extended families.

16/
We will continue to do our best, but we as health care workers, are tired, we are so very weary, and we are getting farther & farther behind, despite our humongous efforts to keep up with #COVID19CaseLoads

17/
We cannot do this alone.

We need ALL our CITIZENS and we need our GOVERNMENTS to step up now.

18/
Step up NOW.

Not tomorrow.

NOW.

TODAY.

It is YOUR DUTY.

#STAYHOME
#COVID19SK
#COVID19Reality

💜
