We are writing #PostcardsToVoters in Georgia. We are only writing to Democrats. And then, only to Democrats who actually voted in the November election. And what we are writing is to encourage them to go to a web site that is run by the GA Secretary of State.

When they go to that page to request their absentee ballot, as we are helpfully suggesting on our hundreds of thousands of #PostcardsToVoters, since it is run by the official state government office that runs elections and maintains the registered voter file, the voter...

...whom we already know with guaranteed certainty is a registered voter, will fill out their information which the GA SOS computer software will be able to immediately verify that they are in fact registered to vote. And they will be sent an absentee ballot.

So...

...it is absolutely not only unnecessary for anyone to add language to the cards encouraging the voters to go check separately to ensure that they are still registered to vote. We don’t need anonymous, handwritten, out of state postcards insinuating to a known registered...

Why must people feel the need to add to an approved message that took several people with experience and insight and knowledge about the election and the list targeting some afterthought verbiage without even asking first? Why can’t we trust the people who are running...

...let’s please all do only what we are instructed to do. Do not go rogue. No matter how sure you think you might be right. Ask first. But, not people on social media. Ask the organizers who are giving you addresses. They will know. We want a successful outcome.

Please fulfill your role as a volunteer by following the instructions. If you, for any reason, just cannot abide, then return the addresses assigned to you. We won’t shame you or ask invasive questions. Just return the addresses so we can maintain operational integrity.
