2. When he got there, he directly disobeyed the orders of the party, refused to sign the peace the Germans demanded, broke off the negotiations, and then TOLD THE GERMANS that the Soviet government would demobilize the army.
3. The result, which any moron could have foreseen, was that the German imperialists advanced deep into Soviet territory virtually unopposed, and Lenin ended up having to agree to far worse terms later than the already painful ones the Germans had demanded to begin with.
4. This resulted in the loss of an enormous swathe of territory of the future Soviet Union.
5. This was the handiwork of the man whose followers like to hold up as the single savior of the Soviet Union, the man who supposedly single-handedly organized the October Revolution and single-handedly created the Red Army and single-handedly walked on water and cured lepers.
6. This great miracle worker, who, in one of the few acts he actually was single-handedly responsible for, almost SINGLE-HANDEDLY caused the destruction of the Soviet republic by pissing on the policy Lenin ordered him to follow.
7. He violated the direct order of the Bolshevik Party leadership, and gave imperialist Germany the chance of a lifetime to conquer as much of the territory of the Soviet republic as their armies could reach.
8. The Germans in Brest-Litovsk must have been down on their knees thanking god for sending Trotsky to them. But I guarantee no Bolshevik was grateful for his existence that day.
