My first blog post of December is going to be a recap of what I learned about writing online in 2020.

What you'll learn:

- The importance of writing as a function of people, not ideas
- The value of writing garbage
- What to write about, where to write, who to write for + with
First entry from this morning is on the most impactful idea I learned this year, via @theshteves:

Write as a function of people, not ideas.

What you'll learn:
- What writing as a function of people means
- How prevalent this type of writing is
- The weird ways my brain works
Today's prompt is on the value of writing garbage. It's the old "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take" mentality.

What you'll learn:
- Why it's easier to not take the shot
- How I realized there's good to be found in bad writing
Got off this bandwagon when school pivoted back to in-person learning and I juggled work and a virtual conference. Back in the writing mindset this morning.

Shout out to @WritersBlocHQ and everyone I've met there who has helped me learn this year, especially @lbreichmann.
Many other topics I want to expand upon in time, but I'm adding these addendums to the piece like game notes at the end. Inspiration for follow-up.
