I think PDs will agree with me if I say we are looking for someone who is not only right for the program but will also be happy training with us. For example, @UNMDermatology is a clinical program. 2/
I have to consider very carefully if an applicant with high experience and aspirations in basic science would be happy putting that on hold for three years to come train with us. I would love to have a platform to offer such candidates, but this is a few years away. 3/
It’s great that you love dermatology! But it is not enough to get into dermatology. Choose a program that you will be happy in besides the fact that it is a Derm program. Please read the great thread by @BoosPhd!
