What unique characteristics do you notice about the Fijian style of attacking rugby? https://twitter.com/g_r_owen/status/1334561129570426880
For me, apart from the obvious attacking traits; half rotations in contact is what I notice.
Instead of running with the hips square (tackler wins)
The body rotates in contact (tackler loses).
Sometimes they’re running sideways for a second.

I picture it like a revolving door and it’s push sensitive.
You want to smash through it, but it automatically rotates every time.

Go to any touch game in Fiji and count the number of times the ball carrier rotates side-ways at the gainline.
The free arm acts as a warning system.
When you push against it, the upper body rotates (Watch Yato’s #6 disappear)
But what if to shut it down, the tackler had a stronger base, went lower & put more shoulder into it?

Probably wouldn’t work on Semi.
