Around this time of year, a lot of us get into a reflective mood, thinking about the year that’s just flown by. After being #gaslighted yesterday it reminded me over 2020 I’ve also been #trolled and experienced #disability #hatecrime. Meet the latest perpetrator @SabjiHunter
All of these horrible experiences happen because some think it’s an easy way to make joke, you know, at the fact that I / others, were born with a condition & have a short stature. I know it’s only a reflection of them & their own self-worth, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.
In my @HuffPost interview last week,I was asked how I felt emotionally & mentally about 2020. My answer: “I feel like I’ve been beaten up.” How ever hard 2020 has been for those not already facing inequalities, 2020 has been survival mode for so many of us who have all our lives.
This has only been 1 year out of 33. When will it end? How many more experiences will I and other disabled people will have to encounter like this.

It's exhausting always being in this mode where I have to fight for basic rights and dignity.
Moral of this thread:
👉🏽 #BeKind
👉🏽 Listen & act when you’re being told you’re doing something to harm the existence marginalised people.

As if people have to be called out on this behaviour& have the audacity to still not act right after someone used their energy to explain 🤯
