On December 6, 1989, a man entered an engineering class at École Polytechnique. He separated the women and men then instructing the men to leave.

He shot and killed 14 women that day, not simply because they were women but because of a deep-rooted hatred of feminism. #Dec6
Misogynistic hate continues to flourish in Canada with daily acts of gender-based violence that occur in our homes, schools, workplaces. In the past few years, we have seen 2 major acts of misogynistic violence, the Toronto van attack and mass murder in Portapique Nova Scotia.
