Ok, I'm going to start watching anime as someone who never has and this will be a live thread.
First things first, I'm watching dragon ball z on the recommendation of @SeanMcCarthyCom

This is good so far, most anime I see people talk about is like weird schoolgirl shit but this is really well done
Damn these guys are badass. Cool fight. Good shit 
Wild ending. I like how the use of ballistic guns in the future, it's a cool aesthetic
The food came back! Thats also the end of this episode, I'll probably watch the next one tomorrow
Current rating is 8 or 8.5/10, very good visuals, story is well written but at times predictable, very good combat

As an aside, this is the first episode I'm seeing with subtitles rather than dubbing. So far I prefer it this way.
