The bottom line is that commentary trying to brush aside these assaults on our diplomats and which attempts to sweep the well documented harm of this new form of attack under the rug, provides aid and cover for the enemy.

A bullet which cannot be held, nor seen, nor captured on film in mid air as it hurls toward the a chosen target, is not any less lethal due to those characteristics. It should be understood as *more* alarming than conventional bullets because of its deniability.
Causing chaos within adversary ranks by inflicting unseen damage to the brain of a key decision maker is much more powerful than a single sniperâs bullet taking down that same decision maker in plain view with the bloody-soaked evidence plainly visible to all.

The new-age invisible âbulletsâ do not inflict their full harm immediately. It is a pernicious, slow venom not any less dangerous than the projectiles used to kill on battlefields for the past ~200+ years.
But the harm is spread over time and attacks the faith in commands given. If you cannot trust the mental faculties of people in key decision making positions, the entire command-decision making structure breaks down. These forms of attacks...

Microwave style weaponry is much more dangerous over time due to the degrading effect on quality of reasoning and decision making relied upon by all tiers of organization.

...with credibility in mind. Taking the threat posed by rogue use of Directed Energy Weapons seriously at a population-wide scale will require spreading a destabilizing truth- that a new weapon has been used to harm our diplomats abroad, and we need to understand the risk here.
Half of the harm caused by this type of weapon in modern times will be the result of an unwillingness to admit they exist or are possible.

Next, humanity needs to spread knowledge of how to detect the use of directed energy weapons (DEWs) and identify symptoms experienced by victims of the new class of long-term weaponry; and doing so in a careful enough way to not cause panic, yet remain serious about the threat.
There will be opportunists and trolls alike trying to cause panic for profit and laughs. They must be anticipated and countered with zealous clarity. The penalty for coordinating disinfo for profit, or to inflict undue and avoidable harm, must make it clearly not worth the risk.
