1)While visiting Honduras this year, acting U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf called President Juan Orlando Hernández “a valued and proven partner” for “promoting security” in Central America.
2)U.S. prosecutors in New York alleged that seven years ago a Honduran drug kingpin bribed Hernández, then a presidential candidate, to protect his cocaine business if Hernández were elected.
3)Cartel witnesses told of funneling millions of dollars to his presidential campaign via Tony. Now the feds say another alleged Honduran gangster, Geovanny Fuentes, directly paid then candidate Juan Orlando Hernández $25,000
4)Jailed former kingpin Joaquín Guzmán Loera, aka "El Chapo," allegedly delivered a $1 million bribe to Tony to support his brother's 2013 presidential campaign in exchange for protecting the Sinaloa Cartel's use of the country to traffic drugs.
5) In 2017, Hernández upended a constitutional ban on reelection to run for president again. He eventually declared victory, with the US government's blessing, despite a number of irregularities, including accusations of voter fraud, which prompted calls for new elections.
6) According to a State Department report last year, there are up to 10,000 gang members in Honduras, a country with roughly 8 million people.
7)Classrooms are no longer off-limits as gangs threaten and sometimes kill teachers who don't yield to their demands to give their children passing grades. Government figures show 83 teachers were murdered from 2009 to 2014 and security forces were deployed to 52 schools in 2017.
8) "We have almost one million students who should be in school but they're not, for many reasons. As teachers, we try to provide adequate conditions to encourage them to stay in school,” a principal said.

10) My point of this thread is to show that a US president that is alleging fraud in the election, and whose platform was to stop immigration, helped a corrupt president in Honduras,
11) and by doing so will actually increase immigration, and has destroyed innocent lives in the process. I grew up here. I know it well.
