Thank you Kuljeet! Yes, we are definitely watching this! :)

Infact, we are the organizer of this meeting, slated for April 2021 and in the planning phases now.

We also want to take this opportunity to reply to you and others who feel that this event is 'biased'. https://twitter.com/genbiolab/status/1337775757733425152
Showcasing women and their work is the primary goal of this conference. So while our speaker roster will be exclusively women, we are throwing open our registration to all audiences - men, women and people of all genders.
Therefore, it is our firm belief that we are in no way excluding men from interacting with this event in various ways - male professors are welcome to participate as audience and male trainees are welcome to register for the breakout rooms.
Most conferences in the Indian STEM space have drastically low representation of women speakers. Conference organizers commonly cite lack of or ignorance of possible women candidates for speakers.
Moreover, lack of prior conference participation is also considered as a negative. Evidently, this is circular logic which is not allowing women experts to be adequately represented in the public sphere.
Therefore, by restricting the speakers for NeuroFemIndia to women neuroscientists, we hope to break this cycle and help lesser known and underrepresented women scientists be visible to the public and all future conference organizers.
By doing this, we are not creating discrimination, but infact, helping abolish existing discriminatory practices. By providing a platform for the excellent science being done by women neuroscientists, we hope to inspire the next generation of Indian women neuroscientists!
And just incase you still need hard data to be convinced - here is a 10 min video that we hope we do the trick
