Football fans and pundits are so reactionary. If Atléti had won last night they would have been champions in waiting; now they lost it's Real Madrid who are title favourites. It must be said, Atléti were scared and, unlike RM, don't know how to win these big matches.
Simeone changed the culture at Atlético Madrid - but still they have a mental block at times. However, I consider them title favourites and think Atléti cannot have a better opportunity to win La Liga. Even if they had won they must remain focused and just keep winning.
Real Madrid are the kind of team that can win the title being 8 points behind with 10 matches remaining. They showed last night the DNA of this club is to comeback from adversity stronger than ever. It was a powerful, dominant performance. Felt like derby matches pre-Simeone era.
Real Madrid will have problems during the season though...

I can guarantee RM will not win their next 3 matches. This is why La Liga is wide open and the contenders have to capitalise on this.

I think Atléti need a gap at the top because if it's tight then Real Madrid will handle the pressure better. No matter if it's 6 or 16 points they just have to win the next one and the one after. RM know how to win and how to win titles. It's game on. Now Atléti must react.
