So Captain Red right lemme tell ya some stuff about him, his first appearance was Turok #13 which was cool. A French pirate from the 18th Century landing in the Lost Lands like Turok did is interesting in itself, especially being a cyborg and all.
But I LOVE the fact that his crew primarily consists of a @ValiantComics equivalent of C-3PO in OU-8-2 and basically Rocksteady and Bebop in the bionosaurs Misfire and Proto. It's silly but Red's crew is straight up vicious when need be, great balance in the writing there.
But yeah figured I'd share a little about a character you might not know about, essential reading is definitely Turok #13-15 to see his introduction. But Turok #25-27 is the real meat and potatoes of what makes him a great character.

Savage pirate finds a civilized purpose....
And just when the beastly man seems tamed well you know how it is, comics are never that neat and tidy right? I think one of the coolest parts is just seeing another character take a journey so similar to Turok's yet be so different and the outcome be so different or is it?
