Bhimashankar (ruins
) and Kalbhairav temple is almost inaccessible. You have to either walk through waters / go through hills on bike or of course, 4wd
Mother was happy with car, as she didn't have to walk a lot to reach temples.
And as If we had got invitations +

could attend Abhishek and aratis at all of these temples... Two of these temples are closed after 8 in morning! The Pujari in both of these temples wakes up before 4 everyday. Walks through waters in that dark. Cleans up vast premises of both temples (kilometer apart).
Does all the rituals at both jagrut deities (Bhimashankar, Kalbhairav) . Closes temples, goes to a meagre earning day job as a helper in a shop at nearby town. Comes back in evening for rituals again.

It's like Saticha Vaan (In Marathi) for the priest. Because, the temples are hard to reach, devotee footfall is too less. Temple earnings are next to nothing. One can't survive and do all the rituals on that amount! You'll be dumbfounded if you see such a sagely person's wisdom.
We are a lucky civilization to have these invisible pillars who keep doing their Karmayog even after daily abuse and contempt from the so called "educated" masses.
Don't know whom this bird was impressing. Was in same pose for quite sometime.

That old tree which is almost as tall as the small hill has branches weighing down because of the ample tamarinds it's adorned with.
In this mostly barren hills, here's another small valley full of greenery close to another temple: Bhimashankar.
Have a some shitty footage of the trail taken from same potato phone camera mounted on a rattling phone mount. You guys interested?

For whatever reason, those steep inclines don't seem steep in camera.
