I'm trying to figure out how to ask an acquaintance I've not spoken with in years if I could come and hold her chickens without sounding weird.
Been solid thinking about this for an entire day. I just think it would benefit me so much to get to hold and pet one of these chickens.
Still being shy about this. Many people saying “can I touch your chickens” is all I need to say. I think that’s too forward. I should at least start with “I hope you’re doing well at these trying times”
I sent her a message. I told her I couldn’t stop thinking about her chickens and asked her if I could come meet them. I said I couldn’t promise I wouldn’t cry tears of joy. Let’s see...
It’s 8 minutes past midnight and it’s been 7 minutes since I messaged her. She hasn’t replied. I am nervous, not gonna lie
She has been online but she has not replied
