Why does David Montgomery go from Bruce Banner with Foles to the Hulk with Trubisky? The answer is that teams HAVE to account for Trubisky as a running threat.
First play of the game: Texans rush 4 with two LBS over the middle for 6 in the box. Normally, the numbers don't favor a run play here. Trubisky sets Miller in motion to the right, which reveals man coverage underneath:
Here, scheming with the threat of Trubisky's legs takes away the best player on the Texans defense: JJ Watt

Run option with Trubisky to the right and Montgomery to the left. Watt (circled in red) gets frozen in place from the mesh and schemed out of the play
Regardless of what the line or RB does from an execution standpoint, just the threat of Trubisky as a runner takes away the Texans' best player. This is... not the case with Foles
Admittedly, it does help that the Texans LB shoots the wrong gap, like a puppy chasing an imaginary tennis ball throw that's still in your hand
So, while some may try to downplay the offense's resurgence the last few weeks by blaming it all on the Texans D being bad, that's only the culprit for why this run went for a TD. Why it's a success from the beginning is all scheme and QB. Those disagreeing are wrong and bad.
