**Reasons why a Brexit trade deal might be imminent and they are not telling us**
1) Boris Johnson met the 1922 remotely tonight rather than turning up in person.
This might mean he is not risking catching coronavirus by mixing with MPs so he can fly to Brussels at short notice.

2) The Commons is rising tomorrow for its Christmas break until early Jan. MPs might be more likely to hand over their proxy votes to the whips to vote through any trade deal next week, if one is agreed and Parliament is suddenly recalled, rather than come back to London.
3) Senior Conservative Brexiteer MPs Steve Baker and Sir Bernard Jenkin dashed past me in the committee corridor tonight, making clear they they had little time to speak to me.
This is unusual. Something must be up, I am sure of it.
