1. In many nations, during times of war, there are almost always groups of people who organize to become the voice of peace. When the US waged war in Iraq to “liberate” the Iraqi people & “ bring democracy” to the Middle East, many people in the US went to the streets

2. with both fury & sadness, to protest the war. When these protests took place, it didn’t occur to anyone to accuse these individuals of fostering favoritism or secretly supporting Saddam Hussein or terrorism. No-one was accused of being their sympathizers.
3. No-one was accused of using social media or street protests to “bully” George Bush & his administration. These protestors were the amplifiers of the voices of the weak & most vulnerable whose lives were simply not thought of as valuable, thus worth saving.
4. A gov't with an army & a strong propaganda machine is never the one in need of its voice being amplified & its actions justified by people like you & I. It is those who're sitting in fear as we speak wondering if it will be tonight that death will finally knock at their door
5. who need our voice. We can always continue our political arguments at any point, but every day this war doesn't see a definitive end, it's more misery & more lives lost, not only in #Tigray but in other regions where countless other miseries/deaths are being ignored.
6. It is worth remembering during the Iraq war, what was presented by the Bush admin as a "cake walk war" that would end swiftly resulted in the deaths of over a million people & a destruction of an entire nation. Thinking one can control a war is nothing but pure delusion.
7. I'll end with banality - Stop supporting war! #Ethiopia
