I'd say the three biggest holes #MUFC have at the moment are:

The RW:
Greenwood is clearly an amazing talent, but he is most natural cutting in, and is still learning at adult level.
Someone who naturally stays wide and is comfortable playing in tight areas (which our wide players are asked to do) would make a huge difference.

CB:
While I like Lindelof, he doesn't offer the aerial ability and speed that you would like next to a player like Maguire. Whoever plays, you would want a tall, agile player next to them sweeping up any loose balls.
Either Lindelof or Mags would benefit hugely from this.

Midfield:
We now like to build through our CBs, but we are often caught out by a midfield press when the ball goes into our CDM. None of our options are adept when receiving the ball & facing our own goal.
A solid CDM who is comfortable on the ball and dictating tempo = vital.

All of these are personnel problems and will (hopefully) be solved by the time next season kicks off.
Although it is far too simplistic to blame problems on "needing transfers", the difference these player-types would make to our team currently would be enormous.

...one might even argue that the RW issue has been solved by the acquisitions of Diallo and Pellistri...
Very early doors obviously, but players in their mould would absolutely give us a new dimension in attack and in possession.

It's quite refreshing that our holes are so obvious and so few. It would only take 3 transfers to have a pretty complete team.
If asked 2 years ago, I wouldn't have known where to begin when pointing out areas to improve. We were deficient everywhere.

If you want Ole out, OK. I know his CV doesn't make for encouraging reading. But I have to assume you're GUESSING that we can't achieve, because we haven't seen what we can do with a fully-formed squad and plan.
If he completes his team, who knows what we can achieve...
