I dislike anthropomorphizing the virus. The virus just goes into lungs. Replicates. Gets expelled into air and re-infects as long as the rebreathed air containing the virus can find another uninfected lung. It does not change its behavior. We CAN change ours. 1/ https://twitter.com/VincentRK/status/1339699271545876480
Masks reduce virus expulsion into the air, reducing infectiousness. 2/
Physical distance reduces the fraction of air you inspire that is re-breathed air from someone else which reduces infectiousness. 3/
More ventilation reduces the fraction of air you inspire that is re-breathed air from someone else which reduces infectiousness. 4/
Less time indoors with others reduces the fraction of air you inspire that is re-breathed from someone else. The common theme, if you haven't caught on yet, is breathing air that someone else previously breathed. Minimize that, and you minimize infection. 5/5
