Someone walked in and took their life at our favorite local gun range yesterday... the holiday season is extremely difficult for many in normal situations, but after having nearly been isolated this whole year it’s likely going to have an even worse effect on those prone to
Depression during this season. Please, please reach out to your loved ones. Please just check in on everybody around you. Let them know they’re loved and they’re being thought of and prayed for. Additionally, if you’re struggling... let someone know. You aren’t a burden. You are
Loved and you are here for a reason. I know there are some heavy things going on in the world right now, but never ever give up hope.
My best advice for a depressive episode (from someone who finally loves life):
-Pray
-Drink water
-Eat something (preferably nutritious, but just something in your system if you haven’t had anything)
-Take a shower even if it’s hard, it’s a great way to feel human again

-Go to bed early and set your alarm early to get a good head start on the next day
-Take a walk, fresh air and exercise really does the body good
-Make an effort to get just one thing done on your to do list
-CALL a family member or friend just to chat
-Take a nap if you NEED one
