Good evening! Let us begin this night of speaking about a one Ms. Andy Allo.
This is actually the first time I’ve done a whole thread on just ONE Prince associate! (I’ve done one on The Time before kind of, but that was more their DVD Condensate). https://twitter.com/darlingnisi/status/1007820594187001861
I’d kind of like to prove a thesis tonight though, in MY head, Andy is one of the most successful Prince protégé’s, if not THE most successful protégé’s he mentored…
(Having this qualification meaning, the subject was professionally recognized before having contact with Prince and then went on to be independently successful without relying on work that was done while with him…)
Tonight I’d like to demonstrate why I feel this way….

Let's begin...
Born January 13, 1989 in Bamenda, Cameroon, Andy and most of her family moved to Sacramento California when she was 11 years old.
She’d had music lessons as a child, and went on to develop this talent, forming the band Allo and the Traffic Jam which occasionally performed for tips on the corner of 22nd and J streets in Sacramento while she was in college.
Eventually she went on to do solo efforts and started work on her first album….
The thing about making albums though…is that it costs money to do! To help raise the funds, Andy signed with a modeling agency and got same cash doing campaigns and commercials….
In 2009, she completed 12 songs for her first solo effort, Unfresh, and released it independently. https://album.link/us/i/338908860

With her first album under her belt, she moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue music, modeling, and even took a shot at acting...and hosting...
Fans of TV Show The Game might remember seeing her at the beginning of Season 4 (Tee Tee’s girlfriend…who got a bit…distracted…)
And then...April 2011...that time when she met a certain person...
A working session between them resulted in this beautiful project…
A few legs of a certain tour…where sorry girl going to forever be upset with you for not doing what needed to be done here… we were all rooting for you! 
Some duets with the man himself on HIS albums…that flow quite well into her own songs…

She continued modeling and getting TV spots with big brands like Just Jar.ed...

And spent a good amount of time touring and working on her next musical project, Hello (2015)

Ms Allo is truly putting in work! As fams we tend to only see the associates through the lens of their Prince experience. They are SO MUCH MORE than that! Give her props man...she has accomplished SO MUCH on her own merit!
