Last weekend, I got a chance to spend some time with @OnThatJob 's first cohort thanks to @vindytalks and @dalanMendonca 's courage.

I took an impulsive decision to promise each of them 10 growth ideas from me on the basis of what they're building.

Thread on some common ones👇🏽
Obvious disclaimers apply. These won't be relevant to all companies or products. Pick and choose as you deem fit. Also, most of the OTJ folks are yet to hear from me and will get personalised ideas. These are the most common, low-hanging ones that I thought y'all would like.
1. Get on the Partnership programs train - Talk to people like @Kuppulakshmi ( @zoho ), @therealjpk ( @FreshworksInc ), @sehaj23 ( @segment ), @jiteshluthra ( @BlumeVentures ), @nandiniv ( @AntlerGlobal ), and @GreggCochran ( @techstars ) and find out what works best for them.
2. Deals work - Try and have campaigns where your products are on sales either via referral or during particular seasons/days. Another route is get on platforms like @AppSumo - @noahkagan has a lot of good content on his YouTube channel around how you can make the most of it.
3. Newsletters/ Podcasts/ Blogs - The very basics of a good content play. Let the world know what you're building and keep them posted. If possible, build in public. A recent example I like: @Rahul_J_Mathur from @BimaPeBharosa
+ @PaulYacoubian from @copy_ai
4. Podcast/Youtube/Newsletter shout outs - You don't even have to create your own content. Request people who already have a relevant audience to give you a shout out and how your offering helps their subscribers. There are kind creators out there. Eg: @bhatvakash ( @the_desivc )
5. ProductHunt or HackerNews - The most active early adopters hang out here. Make the most of these platforms. Reach out to experts like @AabhashK and @kevinwdavid to get tips on how to launch effectively. Follow @kar2905 and the @springroleinc playbook.
6. Twitter DMs for user research - Reach out to potential users & ambassadors via Twitter and ask them for 15-30 minutes of their time to get feedback on your product. Goes a long way. My homies @SparklinGuy & @hemanshujain do this well. Involve as much of your team as possible
7. Slack/Telegram communities + public roadmaps - Get your power users on one platform and arrange for AMAs, let them talk about issues, help them feel a sense of belonging. Eg: @TheJupiterApp by @guptajiten , @ProfileRead by @polina_marinova , and @RocketlaneHQ by @srikrishnang
8. Curated roundtables - Get experts + power users together on a monthly Zoom call to discuss the industry you're part of. Help your community by optimising for serendipity. You can even pull off a summit style event once a year or so.
9. Brag about your team - The best teams I've been part of have felt like the perfect mix of sports team + family. Brag about them. Tell the world about how you found them and their superpowers. This was the best part of building @eventosaur140 - reach out to me for tips.
10. Get ideas from strangers (Meta) - Reach out to people who may have some relevant experience building and selling products and/or companies. We're all great at giving gyaan. Use groups like @CreatorsOfProd and @TheProductfolks - shout out to @Pentropy and @MotwaniSuhas
/End of thread - I hope this helps you build, sell, grow. Please remember to pay it forward once you gain a few battle scars. The world is large enough for us to collaborate instead of competing all the time. 🙏🏽
