This is a welcomed step, but if you read the comments (I should have known better) you'll be dragged into a cesspool of narrow minds and shitty takes.

So let's set the record straight on D&I and military effectiveness (a thread)/1 https://twitter.com/DeptofDefense/status/1340295945460871169
First, the clowns 🤡 in the comments seem to think that radical steps like...

*checks notes* having the recruiting ads match the composition of the actual force

Is some kind of anti-white ethnic cleansing

Arguing is pointless with someone who is that dumb./2
A study from @McKinsey found that if the gender-gap in corporate is closed by 2025, we could be looking at $12 TRILLION added to our GDP.

But @GStrategerist, the Military isn't like corporate America... we have to do hard things! MANLY things!
That's cute. Because there are people who have studied military effectiveness in terms of diversity and inclusion. https://press.princeton.edu/books/hardcover/9780691192437/divided-armies
Turns out, the shitty takes in the comments, were (after close and careful scrutiny) shitty takes.
Allow me to quote @jaylyall_red5 who studies inclusion and diversity across 250 wars since 1800:

"SUCCESSFUL ARMIES ARE INCLUSIVE"
Now, 15 general ideas do not a diverse or inclusive organization make so there is a lot of work to be done.

But can we just stop the bullshit "buh muh Army is gonna be weaker" bullshit already.
And if you're looking to help make the Army/DoD more inclusive and diverse, there are organizations focused on these sort of things:
@NatSecGirlSquad @OutInNatSec +Many more

And leaders who want your feedback:
@MG_SmithT @PatDonahoeArmy @16thSMA @TradocDCG +more
You can follow @GStrategerist.
