I hear a lot of people who don't know much about comics claim that Ms. Marvel has been canceled a bunch which no, it hasn't. The first time her series ended and was relaunched was because of Secret Wars when ALL of Marvel stopped and relaunched.
If you're going to say that the Secret Wars "cancelation" was due to "lack of sales", then you'd have to say that Spider-Man was too and we all know that would be a ridiculous claim.
The second time the series was relaunched, it was because the original writer, G. Willow Wilson, stepped down to let a new creative team handle Kamala.

Ms. Marvel has always been a fine selling character since her launch with the first issue getting six printings and performing consistently alongside other Marvel titles.
Plus, she has always sold well in trade with the first volume specifically still performing.
