Having been with Adidas & Admiral from 1977-1988, this was a brave switch to 'Matchwinner' as kit manufacturer – and a new bold introduction of amber/yellow as an accent colour to compliment the famous black and white stripes of the oldest professional football club in the world
This shirt's appearance at the start of the 1989 season also coincided with the arrival of an almost unkown – Neil Warnock. Whilst Warnock is clearly Marmite amongst the football community, he holds a very special place in the hearts of Notts supporters, as does this shirt
After finishing 9th in Div. 3 in 1988/89, under Warnock Notts won back-to-back promotions via Wembley play-off wins in this shirt, with a 1st game back in the top flight in Aug. 1991, away at Old Trafford.
Players to wear the shirt include Mark Draper, Tommy Johnson & Craig Short

It has an interesting pattern that's quite difficult to see. The replica shirt featured an ave. velvety embossed badge but the player issue shirts had a great embroidered logo, as can be clearly seen in the match worn Wembley 1990 shirt.
