I just think it’s funny that the only leader who saw my tweets about the fort hood report re: “owning that I personally made mistakes” and commented on their own failures was a woman, lol
don’t tell me you read the report, tell me you understand that you personally have directly or indirectly let things slide that you shouldn’t have. this involves a degree of self reflection folks.
I’ll start. I talked about how one of my classmates said he didn’t read the report. I should’ve fixed him and I didn’t. I was exhausted and annoyed and that’s still not an excuse.
my male friends who saw me stand up to sexism and only privately agreed with me later are part of the problem. we have all failed in some way. I’m only interested if you can acknowledge that.
