Okay, let's talk about season finale of the Mandalorian.

Yes, this is going to have spoilers, so mute me. https://twitter.com/FromACertain/status/1341085082463834112
Of course, like with Rogue One, the final season episode of The Mandalorian was quite good, but one particular scene dominated the discussion.

I am of course, talking about both the Darth Vader on the Tantive IV scene and the Luke Skywalker scene on Moff Gideon's light cruiser.
But what got lost in all of the hub bub is a major development that I believe will hint where the story is going to go:

Din Djarin defeated Moff Gideon and became the owner of the Darksaber.
This, I believe, hinted at what's next:

The story/plot for the third season of The Mandalorian is going to be about reclaiming Mandalore.
A big reason that I believe thiat is because Bo-Katan wanted Din Djarin's help in her efforts to reclaim Mandalore, to which Din Djarin agreed to for her help in rescuing Grogu from Moff Gideon.

Since that's over with, this is likely the next arc.
But...

With the Darksaber in Din Djarin's possession, that alone just made him the biggest and inadvertant candidate to become the rightful ruler of Mandalore.

Because he's now the one with the best story of how he came to possess the Darksaber, not Bo-katan.
However...

That will make Din Djarin and Bo-Katan rivals, because she covets the role of the rulership so she can unite Mandalorians and reclaim her planet, and for that, the Darksaber was her best chance at that, which likely means the two will be (unwilling) adversaries.
Of course, Din Djarin almost certainly doesn't want to become ruler of Mandalore but since he belongs to a faction of Mandalorians indoctrinated into a more zealous cultural/lifestyle (hence "This is the way"), he might be forced to honor what possessing the Darksaber symbolizes.
For that matter, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mandalorian blacksmith return, if not as a more prominent part of the story, but at least a small but important role in the third season.
