In our first session, we heard about the impact of the pandemic on social care.

The inquiry heard from Professor John Edmunds, a key member of SAGE, and other scientists about the role of data and modelling in informing the Government’s response to the pandemic.
In October Kate Bingham, Chair of the UK vaccines taskforce, told us that we might have interim data from the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine by the end of the year

In December, we took evidence on 2 groups that have been particularly badly affected by the pandemic: people from BAME backgrounds and people with learning disabilities.
