Everyone needs to learn and practise bystander intervention. I have to admit I’ve been scared to intervene in some situations, but like @cradlecommunity told us during their workshop, it’s not about me, it’s about the other person. & If not me, then who will intervene? https://twitter.com/aliimdadbakes/status/1340737248048934913
This is a very good thread that talks about the variety of ways in which you can intervene: https://twitter.com/kelseymxmo/status/1167077622834245632
I’m sure many ppl have been on the receiving end, and for me nobody doing anything felt worse than the harassment itself. That feeling has stayed with me. Even if it’s after the ‘incident’, checking in with the person & make sure they’re ok makes a difference.
