What's the point of getting tested?"1 in 3 people don't have symptoms. So I could be passing the disease onto others without knowing it."
How was the experience?"EASY"
Quick - in and out in 5min. Got a text with my result within 30min Simple - stuck a swab in my mouth and nose (thankfully in that order) Safe - social distancing and screens
So, what was the result?
Why get a test if we should be at home?"Parts of my job I can't do at home. And I also go out for essential shopping.
If had Covid I could be spreading it to those more vulnerable to me"
What difference would it make if you were positive?"I would immediately self-isolate for 10 days at home
And therefore not pass it onto my family, colleagues or elderly people at the supermarket."
I wouldn't self isolate...no-one can tell me what to do."That's a bit selfish, don't you think? Do you realise tens of thousands of people are dying from it?
Each individual action can stop families being destroyed by this god-awful virus"
But if I self-isolate I don't get income"That's a fair point and a massive challenge for many.
But it doesn't give you the right to put vulnerable people's lives at risk
