MY EXPERIENCE WITH LAGOS - IBADAN TRAIN STATION.

I think this would be a very good thread for people hoping to board the train to move across the two cities. Yesterday seems to be the first time for most of the passengers... which had a cool experience. I noticed alot of things.
First off forst, there's no POS at the station. You can only pay with cash. Wahala for who no dey carry cash. Thank God for the Access bank atm close to the station.(next street by your right).

Next thing is you need a valid I.D card to book a ticket.(passport, worker's ID....
,voters card) and your next of kin details. That's all. Then you proceed to pay for your ticket. After that you're directed to go towards the train. The journey is like when Israelite were walking to the promise land. O loo far

Then you enter inside the train.
Welcome to Dubai Marina.....Lol I sat down at the window side for a good view of the road and so as to enjoy the charging port and comfortably rest on the iron/plastic side.... met some old friends on the move too. Blah blah blah sheep. We started the journey.
The train was shaky at first. My head was like toba collapse nko. Haaaa who sent me.... but nothing happened. It was sha moving slow. I was expecting it to just speed off and gba we reach Ibadan. If that's what you're expecting too. Sorry oooo. Wa pe mbe. 2hrs30mins was no joke.
Thank God for Netflix and Airtel. I was just watching this stupid overrated movie "The 2nd". Suddenly some police men and soldiers started walking around. I thought shey terrorist has entered this train ni. They were asking for tickets so they can punch it. Always keep da tickets
Don't forget to buy enough snacks before on boarding. Or else hunger will fight you. 2hrs is no joke.

Then comes the end of the trip abe you get to Ibadan. Moniya station. The taxi guys there thinks everyone coming down from the train went to do blood money.
They'll collect 500 to take you to Iwo road.... in Ibadan? Why? There's no bike there yet and the road is very dusty. Use your nose masks as you enter the micra.

Or you can tell someone to come pick you up from there. I got there at night so I don't know the direction.
Total amount spent was 3,300
2500 for tickets
500 for micra in Ibadan
300 for snacks ( 3 gala, 1 Fanta, 1 Bottle water)

I would be entering again back to Lagos soon. It was an awesome experience for me because there was no holdup and no potholes.
My advice to the Government/Private company managing this.

Reduce the ticket price. Considering people that want to move to Ibadan and work in Lagos. It's not feasible to pay 5k (to&fro)

The train can move faster I believe. 2hrs 30mins is the same bus takes to get to Ibadan.
