Gibbons is not only the penciller here; he’s also the letterer. He eschews a word balloon in the third panel for Superman’s cry of “MONGUL.” Instead, he just makes the panel the word balloon.
In the fourth panel, the FFWOOSHHH pairs nicely with the “multiple exposure” depiction of Superman taking flight. It’s always reminded me a little bit of the shot in the 1978 Superman movie of Superman taking off after Lois Lane dies.
