16 things I would say to myself in 2018 to go from zero to upper five figures per month in six months instead of two years

End of the year special thread
1. Fuck sales, focus on refining your craft and delivering meaningful, high quality work.

I don’t know how to sell.

But my work and the opinions of my clients about me outperform any salesperson.
2. Downloading, purchasing and going through courses is profit-killing procrastination disguised as learning.

Every course can be traced back to a few big gurus and a few $10 Amazon books.

Don’t let the dopamine hits derail you from your business framework creation.
Learn to pick knowledge from people that have made money with proven, time tested tactics and not gurus offering you yet another shiny object syndrome.

This also applies to PDFs and most books.

Get rid of the noise and focus on on listening to people with consistent results.
3. Having a team will quantum warp your progress.

In 2019 I made just $20’000 because I had to play CEO, accountant, lawyer, marketing guy, copywriter, leadgen guy and secretary.

In 2020 I made lmao I’m not going to tell you because I’m not interested in flexing money.
At our current firm I’m the CMO. Friend #1 is the CEO/sales and Friend #2 manages finances and leads.

Friend #3 is gonna be our new copywriter because we’re getting so much clients I can’t write that many funnels.
For every ba$ed dude you have on your team your rev goes up exponentially.

But the best thing is that you ball with cool people on the same wavelength as you.
4. Network by not networking.

The best presentation card is impressive work and admirable results.

Create both and you’ll inevitable link up with the winning circle.
5. Outsource as many things as you can.

I’m a full time law school student and a CMO.

Between hiring cleaners, people to take my exams and take notes for me, Uber Eats and SaaS I have spent around $2000 per semester.
Worth it?

Yes, at first you’re gonna be stingy but then you’ll realize that two bands isn’t a lot yet it’s an absolutely high ROI investment specially when you make more in 32 hours of pure work.
6. Make stupid purchases.

Yes bro, listen.

You will inevitably spurge on luxury shit and random stuff you don’t need (I still do lol).

Do it so you feel the dopamine withdrawal and then detach yourself from money.

Lose to win, really.
7. Charge high prices, but it’s ok to work for peanuts at the start.

You know how much I charged for my first funnel ever?

One stim check and a half.

Today… well, a boatload of stim checks.
That underpriced funnel opened a trillion doors for me and it was a long-term elite move even though I didn’t even know it.

You’re one sales letter, project, email or whatever away from your big break.
8. You can turn $300 into $20’000

You don’t know how much shit you can accomplish from a busted HP and free/cheap versions of stuff.

The MacBook Pro will be soon yours, be patient.
9. Money goes fast, but it also comes fast.

The more money you spend, the more money you make.

Funny how that works huh.
10. Nothing is saturated…

(The paradox of capitalism it is cutthroat and competitive yet there’s money for everyone.

And if you’re great at what you do?

It’s like you had your very own personal monopoly.)
11. …But niche down as much as possible.

(After hundreds of sales calls, emails, research and clients from almost ten completely different industries, we have discovered what will be the path our firm has to take.
Don’t procrastinate on this, the more you dig the faster you’ll reveal what goldmine is waiting for you.)
12. Splurge in your tools.

That busted up HP will make you your first bands, but the time to overhaul your entire setup.

Nothing to do with hardware, everything to do with mindset.
Get a taste of luxury and your entire brain will be rewired to accept expensive everything as your new default.

If it amplifies productivity, speeds up processes, cuts down time and effort, and makes you feel like a CEO…

Buy that shit.
13. The more you work on your work, the less you work on your work.

Writing 20 funnels in the span of two months will grant you an unfair advantage over the guy that downloaded every copy course and book.
Your craft becomes almost “automatic”, it stops being a skill and it evolves into an instinct.
14. Force yourself into the zone more often.

Eliminate anything that creates friction between you and your work, from apps to people.

You’d be baffled at how much money you are burning right this moment by fooling around.
15. Don’t forget about living life, though.

No point of writing your own $50k/month checks when all you do is grind.
16. Modafinil is great, but healthy sleep is greater.

Save it for the crucial nights, and have a healthy sleep schedule + productive morning.

Almost the same benefits.
It has been an AMAZING year.

I never expected Twitter to be the catalyst to an obscene amount of self-improvement and parabolic financial growth.

May you have a fulfilling Christmas and a BULLISH new year.
