AAVE
Although some say AAVE is a dialect, and not a language.. it’s a language it’s not like every other language due to it origen. It has its own grammar rules and pronunciation. We are protective of AAVE, because we are stripped of our culture and we HAD to create our own.

We were literally not allowed to read or write or we were hurt and killed... non black people have colonized it, it’s not just words. It’s grammar and pronunciation, and you guy adopting our language, when black people scored less in tests scores due to using AAVE,
Would get called ghetto, we’d be called unprofessional, told we’re dumber. People call it ghetto talk, bad English, etc etc. It’s more than that YALL. Words like “sis, periodt, PURR, Chile, SIMP, hoe, and boi” are AAVE, BUT saying things like “Girl we’ve been known” is also AAVE.
You have to decolonize your life, decolonize your vocabulary black people have nothing, we were stripped of our culture, and we had to create our own... If you know where your from, your ancestors and your culture, and it’s sacred to you, would you want someone to take it?
Now imagine how black people feel, knowing we won’t ever fully know anything about where we came from? All we have is what we create and it keeps getting colonized and yes culture can be shared but when ours is stolen continuously, we need to protect it...
