Shahid Khan moved from Pakistan to the USA in 1966 with $500 in his pocket. How’s he doing now?

- Net Worth of over $11 BILLION
- Owns the Jacksonville Jaguars
- Runs an auto supplier w/ $10 Billion in Revenue

Here’s his story 👇👇👇
Shahid Khan was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1950. Business was in his blood — As a child, he built and sold radios and made his friends pay to borrow comic books.

At 16, he came to University of Illinois to study Industrial engineering.

He had $500 in his pocket.
His first job was a dishwasher and he was paid $1.20/hour.

He was quoted as saying, "with this salary, I'm richer than 99% of my neighborhood in Pakistan".

Amazing.
In college he found a job working for a small auto manufacturing company, Flex-N-Gate.

His dream was to be an architect, but after 1 year in college he realized they make no money ...

... and he wanted to be rich.
After college he kept working at Flex-N-Gate and was known for designing great bumpers.

8 years later, he started Bumper Works — making car bumpers for custom pickup trucks and body shops. His insight was creating the one-piece truck bumper, which was unheard of at the time.
This type of bumper reduced weight and improved structural support -- it was groundbreaking in the auto industry.

He started the business with a $50k SBA loan and $16k of his savings.
2 years later, in 1980, he bought Flex-N-Gate for $800k.

He operated this company with a great approach to blocking & tackling. Pure Execution.

They delighted customers because they were reliable. And they operated efficiently.
With his reputation for a great product, consistent execution, and reliable customer service he proved he was a high-quality supplier.

He landed a contract with The Big 3.

4 years later he got a small contract with Toyota. 5 years after that, he was their sole supplier.
He grew the company from $17M in Revenue to $2B in 2010. The formula was simple -- Consistently executing and expanding product lines led to growth.

By 2018, they had $8.3B in Revenue and were the 49th largest private US company.

Compounding is a beautiful thing.
He bought the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011 for $760M. The first minority owner in the NFL.

The Jaguars are valued at $2.3B today.

He also bought Fulham FC and is the lead investor in All Elite Wrestling.
Shahd Khan embodies The American dream.

Come to the US, work your ass off, stay focused ... and you can achieve your dreams.
