Myth 1: Rahane has been hard done by this management. There is no consistency in selection.

Reality: Rahane is the most capped player under Kohli. Also most of the others had a fairly consistent run.
Myth 2: Rahane has been a top performer and deserving of Captaincy.

Reality: Karun Nair, the actual top performer was dropped to accomodate Rahane. Rahane's performances have been equivalent to Dhawan and Vijay - the already dropped ones. Even Jadeja has better average.
Myth 3: Rahane is technically sound and is valuable in tough conditions.

Reality: He averages 27 in SENA under Kohli captaincy. Even Rohit averages 29. As we can see nowhere in the league of Kohli and Pujara, or for that matter, even Jadeja.
