1. There's an account on here that I just can't fathom. I know the person is real, I've even been on a Zoom call with them.
What I can't work out is why they are a member of the LibDems. The account is @libdemlife.

2. Usually I wouldn't single anyone out like this, but their behaviour leads me to believe that it's valid.
They are a LibDem, on the Federal Board and the London Exec, but their behaviour towards fellow LibDems leaves me wondering whether they're in the wrong party.

3. I recently supported some candidates in LibDem local elections. Simon McGrath @libdemlife chose to try to smear, @JohnShreeveLD, one of the people I was supporting by bringing up a long resolved tax issue.
4. I might've understood, if I hadn't known that he'd
already asked questions about it privately & had already received answers. So I can only conclude that he decided, as a party official and not living in the region the vote was in, to interfere to make sure this person lost.

5. I had a couple of discussions with him on Twitter. In both of them he lied to me. The first time he claimed not to be the director of a certain business (he is). When I'd asked him if it was him, he replied, "Not me". I have no screenshot, which brings me to the 2nd lie...
6. In the next conversation I asked him why he'd deleted all his tweets from our previous conversation. He insisted that he hadn't. But the thing is there's proof that that was a lie. He went on to repeat that lie on various platforms, but that doesn't change the truth....
7. While publicly lying to me twice (not a great look as a LibDem party official and Federal Board member), Simon emailed others to complain about the "unfair" attack on him (he started it).
8. He also has, shall we say, a very 'interesting' timeline with retweets like the one below. Now, he may claim that a retweet is not an endorsement, but Simon quote tweets people he disagrees with, so I'm not sure that excuse works here.
9. I've since heard from others that Simon is known for his less than inclusive attitude towards BAME party members, but I cannot comment on that further, as I don't have the proof yet. Many are too scared of him to speak out, as he seems to behave this way with no consequences.
10. On a recent Zoom call, I witnessed his overbearing and hectoring manner towards a BAME party member. I found his tone inappropriate and what he was demanding was actually not in accordance with party rules.

11. What is clear is that Simon spends a disproportionate amount of time attacking politicians in his own party. Constructive criticism would be fine, but as I've already established in this thread, it's not constructive criticism.
12. I'm told that a number of higher profile PPCs have Simon blocked. And they all report that the blocking is because of incessant trolling of them by him. Why does he do that?
13. He claims it's because he wants to hold PPCs to a higher standard, but that seems just to be an excuse. One ppc I know, was quote tweeted by Simon abusively 6 times in 24 hours. Imo that's not holding to account, that's bullying.
14. Today he decided to go after @bathnesld and even @Wera_Hobhouse over a dubious story about local concerns about a new 5G mast. They have my support. Simon can claim to be protecting the image of the party, but is actually damaging the party with what I think is bullying.
15. I understand that he told GSR that he would continue to harass her until she stood down as mayoral candidate. That's outrageous and hasn't gone unnoticed. Personally, I'd like to know who died and made him king of everything.
16. So why is he doing this? Jealously? Boredom? Inadequacy? Brexit position? Or is he quite simply in the wrong party either inadvertently or by design?
17. The conclusion I have drawn is that Simon McGrath is not particularly pleasant and is a very poor public representative for the LibDem party. If someone is behaving this way towards there fellow party members, why are they representing the party at all?
18. It's no wonder the party is in the quagmire it is, with people like Simon representing them and being front and centre. In my opinion, Simon McGrath needs to immediately consider his position. I intend to report my findings to the leader of Merton Council and my DMs are open.
I'm not sure, but this thread may be of interest to you @paulncrossley and @CllrDineRomero.
