so yes, i turned to social media to express my hurt and anger and guess what? it turns out i wasn't the only one feeling this way. to the contrary. i found an entire community, family if you will, who was feeling the same kind of betrayal. +
turns out i wasn't crazy after all for having these feelings over a piece of fiction. we collectively saw something inherently wrong with the message of this show and we try to make other people aware of it so others won't ever have to feel this hurt again. +
we do it respectfully with trending # and fundraising money. all of this we do out of hope. hope for change. hope for equality. hope for a better future for the baby gays. so do not tell me we do this to ourselves and hurt lgbtq youth by doing it. we are doing it for them. +
tbh it scares me a person like you is in charge of talking fragile youth off of the ledge. I hope they will never know how extremely invalidating you are about their sexuality and their hurt. +
and frankly i don't give a damn about breaking up "the SPNfamily" you keep talking about. i don't want a family where half of it hates me for who i am, for who i love. a family that mocks me and calls me crazy and invalidates me every chance they get. +
that's not MY family. I have found mine and your family shunned us a long time ago.
